My Story
Where it all started..

Hello! My name is Lesley Chin, and I’m 26 years old. I began my weightlifting journey at 19, back in 2017.

I decided to pursue weightlifting because I was tired of being skinny and lacking self-confidence. I used to spend countless hours playing video games until my brother encouraged me to be more productive and make a positive change. Motivated by his words, I joined the gym as soon as I got my first job, marking the start of my transformation.

Within a month at the gym, I fell in love with the process as I began to notice small changes that excited me. By the end of my first year, I gained a significant boost in confidence and made new friends. I set personal goals for myself, one of which was to build a solid physique by my two-year mark and compete in my first physique show. Achieving this goal filled me with pride and a sense of accomplishment.
Since my first show, I have competed in four men's physique competitions and had the incredible opportunity to further build my confidence by participating in a runway modeling show and modeling gigs. After a week-long training camp on runway walking, I discovered a newfound level of self-assurance.

However, after my initial physique competition, I faced a challenging period. I experienced a mental struggle that led to a mini depression, resulting in a 50-pound weight gain in just two months. The rapid change was difficult to cope with, especially after seeing my hard work seemingly vanish so quickly. Despite my high expectations of placing first, I ended up in second place, which was disappointing.
It took six months for me to get my body back to a healthy state where I could rebuild my physique after the damage caused by poor eating habits. This internal battle was tough, but it taught me to push myself in ways I had never imagined, particularly during the COVID pandemic. While many were gaining weight due to stress, I used that time to shed the extra pounds I had accumulated after the show.

During this journey, I helped many people transform their bodies, which inspired me to take nutrition and fitness training seriously. Since discovering my passion for fitness, I have always found joy in helping others, fueling my desire to change lives every day.
Fast forward three years, and I am now a full-time trainer. It feels surreal to be doing what I love every day while enjoying a stress-free life. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel excited to wake up and chase my dreams, even if it means getting up at 3 AM to train a client. It no longer feels like a job; I am truly living my passion.
